Staying safe – Covid 19 Risk Assesment
The safety and wellbeing of guests and our staff during this time are the most important things to us. We are taking extra measures in order to help keep everybody safe during your stay and ensure that you can relax and get the nature break you really need. To do this we have put some new procedures in place and we hope you understand that this is to make your holiday with us as safe as possible.
Please do not come to stay with us if you are feeling unwell and showing any signs of the coronavirus. If you have been contacted by the NHS track and trace system please do not visit during your quarantine.
Cleaning the huts
We are following Government advice for cleaning non-healthcare environments. For the latest guidance visit www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19/hotels-and-other-guest-accommodation#shops-1-1
All highly touched, hard surfaces will be cleaned then disinfected after every stay. We will take every opportunity to ventilate the huts and encourage you to keep windows and the door open when possible. We have removed some of the soft furnishings and other sundry items in the huts.
As the huts are completely off grid only cold running water is available. We use boiling water when cleaning the huts. Please use the ant-bac spray to keep surfaces clean and use hand sanitizer provided.
All bed linen provided will be washed using the hottest settings. We ask that you bring your own towels to use during your stay to eliminate any risk of transmission.
The huts will be stocked with disinfectant, cleaning supplies, disposable cloths, hand sanitizers and soap for you to use during your stay. Let us know if you need any further supplies during your stay.
Shower room
The shower room for the huts is at the art gallery and is available to use from 7am-10am. It is a shared space and will therefore need increased hygiene measures to ensure it remains clean and safe for all guests to use. You will need to pre book the shower to make sure that use is organised and that full cleaning can be conducted before and after each visit.
Please call 07951 131454 to arrange a time for your use of the shower.
Arrival and Departure at the huts
A week before your stay you will be emailed directions and a keysafe code to the hut. The keysafe is located in the porch of each hut. This allows you to self check in directly at the site and without the need to come into contact with others. Please let us know if you would like to use self check in.
If you would prefer to meet and have help with directions and bags please check in at our art gallery in Alnmouth village.
The gallery is open every day from 10am-5pm and our staff can help with any questions and local recommendations.
The huts are a 15 fifteen minute walk along the coastal path and we encourage all our visitors to travel light and only bring what you need for your stay. We can help with transporting bags up to the site in our buggy between 3pm-6pm and disposable gloves will be used.
When you leave the huts we ask that you open all windows for maximum ventilation and bag up all your rubbish for disposal at the site.
Becoming unwell whilst on holiday.
If you feel ill during your stay or show signs of coronavirus, we ask that you leave immediately if safe and well to do so and tell us as soon as possible. If you show signs or develop coronavirus after your stay we ask you contact us immediately so we can closedown the site and cancel any imminent bookings.
